Agita Reķe Named Winner of the Professional Composer Category in the Erica Synths Latvian Composers Competition 2026.The jury commented on Agita Reķe’s proposal: “Huldra is the winning proposal because it contains a rare sense of mystery and depth: something not yet fully revealed, but with the potential to become a substantial and genuinely personal work. This is precisely where technology can be most meaningful – not as a subject in itself, but as a means of opening and deepening that unresolved artistic space. The relationship between voice, strings and electronics is already convincing. In the next stage, I would encourage Agita to protect this openness while clarifying the full-length trajectory and documenting the patches, routing and fallback solutions required for an independent realization.” CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
